.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will persist through
the morning hours today with another round of showers and storms
moving in from the south later this afternoon and evening. A few
storms may be on the stronger side with gusty, erratic winds over
50 mph, brief heavy downpours, and hail. This activity will
gradually transition more to an area of general rain and embedded
thunderstorms later tonight into Thursday, most widespread over
the plains and the north facing slopes of the Central Montana
island ranges. Clouds and precipitation will cool temperatures
closer to average today and Thursday. Periods of showers and
thunderstorms and slightly above average temperatures are expected
heading into the weekend, with some storms on the stronger side.
