Fire Weather Planning Forecast
National Weather Service Reno NV
1200 PM PDT Sun Jun 8 2025

...Localized elevated to critical fire weather conditions possible
Wednesday through Saturday...

.DISCUSSION...

Hot and dry conditions persist through midweek. Thunderstorms today
and Monday may bring lightning, gusty outflows, and fire starts
where fuels are receptive. Light winds continue before westerlies
increase Wednesday. These stronger westerly winds along with low RH
and poor recoveries will bring localized elevated to critical fire
weather conditions Wednesday-Saturday, especially in western NV.

Note: Thunderstorms imply gusty and erratic winds.
Note: Mixing Heights are in feet above ground level of the valley floors.
Note: Please see operating plan for detailed zone descriptions
